Jab's Southern Comfort

Hello hello hello!!! How are you doing?  With the start of the new school year, I hope that you have plans to reset, recharge, and refresh yourselves this weekend!  And who wouldn't  like some good southern comfort food to aid in that process!?!

About 2 weeks ago, I went to this hidden gem in Goose Creek, SC.  Honey, let me tell you.  It blessed my soul.

I had been wanting some fried fish.  My mom and I ordered a 3 piece fish only.  When I saw that fish, all I could think to myself was GET IN MY BELLY!

The fish tasted as good as it looked.  It was fried and seasoned to perfection.  I didn't get a pic of it because, well, it was gone before I thought about taking a pic. Sorry.

However, I was able to get a few pics (with permission of course) from a friend.  To see other pics, please head over to the Facebook page.  https://www.facebook.com/soulfoodgoodness/

The atmosphere was very quaint.  It was very clean, and very nicely decorated.  Although there are a few tables to eat in, it is generally a carry-out establishment.

As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by smiling faces.  The staff is very friendly and provide excellent customer service.  I pre-ordered, and let them know what time I would be arriving.  My food was piping hot and ready.

The menu is very diverse.  You can get anything from chicken, to oxtails, to philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Turkey wings, baked and fried chicken, pulled pork, meat loaf, green beans, okra, mac and cheese....yes, there is something for everybody!  If you like seafood, Friday is your day!  Here is a pic of the Seafood Friday menu.

Yes.  It is serious.

Be sure to check the Facebook page for additional menu items and the hours of operation.

So if you are planning to reset, recharge, and refresh for the grind of next week, I would highly recommend that you pop on over to this little hidden gem on the outskirts of Charleston, SC.

You can thank me later.
